University of California, Berkeley's Museum of Vertebrate Zoology (MVZ) is a research and education center founded in 1908 to study the biology of amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.
The Museum of Vertebrate Zoology's specialties include land-based vertebrate evolutionary biology, population biology, evolutionary genomics and biodiversity conservation. Problems such as climate change and declining amphibian populations are among the MVZ's fields of inquiry.
