Mother's Dining at Donato Enoteca in Redwood City

On Mother's Day, May 11, Donato Enoteca in Redwood City will be open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, serving brunch from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and then, beginning at 12:00 PM, also serving a condensed version of their a la carte menu, plus a $58.00 four-course prix menu that will include fresh Dungeness crab and Nova scallops cake with marinated vegetables, tomato and basil foam; housemade ravioli of porcini mushrooms and Parmigiano-Reggiano with brown butter and imported black; and roasted spiny lobster tail with brandy and cherry tomatoes with carnaroli risotto and Iacopi Farm peas or marinated and grilled Niman Ranch beef loin with a medley of roasted spring vegetable and 18-year-old Aceto balsamico. Brunch highlights will include seared Niman Ranch New York steak with a sunny side egg and organic asparagus; an open face omelet frittata with organic artichokes, cherry tomatoes and Dungeness crab; poached eggs on a toast with Grana Padano sauce and domestic caviar with smoked salmon or imported ham; over easy eggs with polenta and black truffle; and crispy guanciale or house made sausage; and buckwheat crepe with a mix of wild mushrooms, Parmiggiano and truffle essence. Moms will receive a complimentary small plate of sweets.
