On Mother's Day, May 11, Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill in Oakland will be serving brunch from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM with Happy Hour service from 3:00 to 6:00 PM and dinner from 3:00 until 9:00 PM. There will be special a la carte brunch offerings in the spirit of the occasion including Pan-Roasted Mary’s Chicken with ancient grain farro, spring vegetables and a truffled farm egg; Spring Vegetable Frittata with spring onions, cherry tomatoes, asparagus and Bellwether Farm crescenza cheese; Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict with caper hollandaise; Braised and Glazed Beef Short Rib with Italian butterbeans, broccoli purée and spring vegetables; Pan-Roasted Sea Scallops with cauliflower, capers, almonds and gold raisins; and House-Cured Corned Beef Hash with spring onions, Yukon potatoes and hollandaise.
