On Mother's Day, May 11, Desco in Old Oakland will be open from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM serving brunch and from 12:00 to 9:00 PM serving a condensed version of their a la carte menu, plus a $48.00 four-course prix menu that will include crescenza and smoked salmon mousse in a crispy shell with mixed mushrooms fondue; sheep ricotta and house dried tomatoes ravioli served over a fava beans vellutata with Grana Padano; and mixed herbs and breadcrumbs crusted sea bass fillet with roasted artichokes and organic peas. Brunch highlights will include egg frittata with zucchini, roasted tomato, potatoes and asparagus; cage free over easy style eggs, with crispy pork guanciale; and cage free poached eggs, over smoked salmon, finished with hollandaise sauce and black caviar.
