Mosaic Silicon Valley, a Sangam Arts initiative, invites you to Mosaic Saratoga, a celebration of culture and community through music and dance from faraway lands performed by local artists.
Reflecting Mosaic Silicon Valley’s grassroots efforts to strengthen communities through multicultural arts, Mosaic Saratoga will blend over 12 traditions and 10 cultures into a 120-minute recital, featuring 100 youth and professional performers.
The performances will include a multi-genre ensemble of western classical and world music (Common Sounds Ensemble by Ray Furuta), Japanese taiko drumming (Saratoga Taiko), vocal choir (Cantabile Youth Singers), north Indian classical dance (Kathak Kala Vihar), jazz, tap and modern dance (East West Music Dance), flamenco (Fanny Ara), Mexican folklorico (Grupo Folklorico Los Laureles, South Indian classical dance (Navia Dance Academy), Korean dance and drumming (Silicon Valley Korean Dance), Chinese traditional dances (International Performing Arts of America), and folk dances of India (Xpressions).
Mosaic Saratoga will take place Friday, October 5 at 7 p.m. at Saratoga High School’s McAfee Center located at 20300 Herriman Ave. Saratoga, CA 95070.
