Join lululemon Grant Avenue on International Day of Yoga for a morning of mindfulness.
Yoga can appear in many forms: The physical practice (asana), meditation (dharana), conduct of the self (niyamas), conduct towards others (yamas), and many others. We'll practice meditation while contributing to our community.
Tarika Lovegarden from Anchor Meditation will give an intro to meditation and then guide us through a 30-minute practice followed by space for questions.
Afterwards, we'll hear from Oasis for Girls, a local organzation that is supporting young women of color aged 14-18 with tools for academic and professional success along with mindfulness, self-care, and social justice.
Light refreshments to follow before you head out to start the day.
Suggested donation of $5 at the door to benefit Oasis for Girls. Meditation begins promptly at 8AM.
