A new version of the annual Fall exhibit Morbid Desire returns to Camron-Stanford House on Sunday, October 14. This year the popular series highlights the death of one of the house’s famous former residents. When the Great Are Fallen: The Death of Josiah Stanford will feature a visit to a Victorian funeral parlor, as well as the family quarters properly dressed for death. Visitors will even have the chance to create their own memento mori by posing in a Victorian coffin.
The exhibit is open for just four Sundays so don’t miss this opportunity to be enlightened, engaged and just a little bit frightened by the customs of the past. Tours each Sunday are at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. No reservations are necessary and regular admission rates apply.
