For 27 years, the Heisler Moot Court has been presenting thorny legal issues by asking the questions underlying public policy.
The 2013 Moot Court topic is "Stealing the Truth." Who owns state secrets? What are the legal arguments for tighter controls over information? How far can the government go to stop the leaks? Who decides, and what legal lines do we draw under the Constitution?
Four law students will argue to a panel of appellate justices regarding the constitutionality of whistleblowing and the attempts by the government to stop leaks of information before they happen.
