Join us to learn create a true French classic, the Gâteau St. Honoré. Taught by our very own French-trained pâtissière, you will receive true recipes passed down from grand French pastry chefs for making this delicious dessert and learn great techniques for making the St. Honoré for your loved ones. This dessert is a delicious combination of flaky puff pastry, creamy vanilla bean pastry cream, fluffy vanilla bean whip cream, finished off with crunchy caramelized cream puffs, truly, best of all worlds!
This is a demo masterclass, but all participants will practice their piping skills as well as take home their share of the gâteau!
There is a special gift included in the price of this class: The coveted St. Honoré piping tip! So you too can pipe the famous St. Honoré design!
In this masterclass, you will learn to make:
o Baking of puff pastry
o Making Pâte a Choux dough (cream puff dough)
o Making vanilla bean pastry cream
o Infusing vanilla bean whip cream
o Making dry caramel
o Practice piping cream puffs
o Practice piping with the St. Honoré tip
