Minecraft-Server Administration:
There are many different ways to run a Minecraft server, from hosting a small LAN world to configuring a dedicated stand-alone server. In this workshop, we’ll be looking at how to setup a Bukkit server (one of the more popular server programs), as well as how to configure it with some basic plugins. We’ll also cover some basic networking concepts so that you’ll know everything you need to know in order to configure your own personal Minecraft server! PLEASE NOTE: Students are required to bring a laptop and have a valid Minecraft account set up BEFORE coming to class. There are a limited number of MakersFactory laptops available, please check the registration links below to see how many are left. Minecraft Pocket Edition will NOT work for this class, you will have to purchase the full version. We have TWO ethernet converters for people using Mackbook Air.
