Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction: Spring 2017

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week program which is documented to cultivate:

An increased ability to relax
Greater energy and enthusiasm for life
Improved self-esteem
An ability to cope more effectively with stressful situations

 
MBSR 8-week course begins Tuesday March 14th 6:30 - 9pm
 
Practices include:

Awareness of the Breath
Walking Meditation
Sitting Meditation
Mindful Movement (based in Qigong & Yoga)
Eating Meditation à la Thich Nhat Hanh
Body Scan by Jon Kabat -Zinn

 

MBSR course meets 8 Tuesdays March 14th - May 16th
(no class 4/18 + 4/25) from 6:30pm - 9:00pm in San Francisco's Mission District, 5 short blocks from BART

Daylong Session Sunday, April 9, 10am - 4pm.


The course fee includes 30 hours of instruction and 10 downloadable mp3 files with more than 5 hours of guided meditation.
 
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) was first offered by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD in 1979 at the University of Massachusetts. It is now offered at more than 600 institutions worldwide. The practice is founded in meditation and a growing understanding that awareness brings relief.
 
Please note that requests for reimbursement must be made by March 13, 2016.  After that point, no refunds will be issued. We are unable to offer make-ups for missed classes.  Choose wisely.
