In this course, taught by Karen Wolfe, LMFT child and family therapist and Joe Cook, father of two and mindfulness teacher and researcher, we will explore mindfulness as a practice of cultivating qualities of awareness and compassion to skillfully navigate the uncertainties and challenges of parenting. Participants will learn tools to strengthen relationships within their families and approach each moment of parenting as an opportunity for practice and growth.Using a mix of lecture, discussion, and experiential practice, we will address the science of connection and children?s emotions and provide concrete strategies to promote mindfulness and connection based on Parenting by Connection listening tools.This workshop is appropriate for parents of children of all ages and any level of experience with mindfulness, from total beginner to seasoned practitioner.
