Migraines: Can Cannabis Help?

In this interactive workshop we will discuss how to treat migraines with cannabis.

Migraines are the third-most prevalent medical condition in the world, and they’re three times more likely to affect woman then men. Migraines are not only painful, but can be extremely debilitating. Ninety percent of migraine sufferers can’t work or complete daily activities and many migraines can last up to 72 hours.

The good news: new research indicates that cannabis can provide significant relief for migraine sufferers. One such study indicates that 85% of migraine sufferers saw a decrease in the frequency and severity of migraines. At the same time, around 20% of migraine sufferers indicated that cannabis helped prevent migraines altogether.

In this interactive discussion, HelloMD’s co-founder Pamela Hadfield will speak with Alison Ettel, the Founder of Treatwell, to learn the “what” and the “how” of treating migraines with cannabis. We will discuss how to effectively manage migraine pain with cannabis and how to possibly prevent them altogether. Some of the questions we will cover in this workshop:

- How does cannabis work within our bodies?

- Why does cannabis help to alleviate migraines?

- What part do cannabinoids play in the treatment of migraines?

- How does cannabis help manage pain in lieu of pharmaceuticals?

- What cannabis products work best in the treatment of migraines?

- Do I need to be “high” in order to treat my migraines?

Pamela Hadfield started HelloMD after successfully treating and then preventing her own migraines with cannabis. Alison Ettel has worked with migraine patients across CA and through observational data has seen the results that cannabis may provide.

This fireside chat will be followed by an audience Q&A where everyone has a chance to ask their questions.

This event is free to attend and is a non-consumption event.
