Let's get together and go on a little road trip to checkout one of Sonoma County's best kept secrets. This event is a day trip to Sonoma County to checkout some amazing micro-brews. Sonoma County has always been the younger step-child to Napa for wines & wineries but what most people don't realize is that Sonoma County features some of the best micro brews in the entire US. With big names like Bear Republic, Lagunitas, and Russian River Brewery it's no wonder Sonoma County has become a popular destination. Russian River Brewery is famous for their Pliny The Younger which has ranked in the top 5 beers in the world on a number occasions and is served only 2 weeks out of the entire year - during which time the line to get into the beer pub to try this magical triple IPA is sometimes over 6 hours long. This hype has encouraged numerous other micro-breweries to sprout up and enter the scene such as HenHouse, Fogbelt, Barrel Brothers, Seismic, and Anderson Valley to name a few.Things included with your ticket:-Bus to and from San Francisco (and to all the breweries)-Map & description of **most** Marin/Sonoma/Mendocino County breweries. *We will be focused on some of the breweries centralized around Santa Rosa.-Lunch(sandwich) & a local draft beer-Brewery tour including information on how to start brewing your own micro-beersParticipants will have to pay for any extra tastings, drinks, or food at the breweries that we stop at.The bus we're taking can fit a comfortable 25 people and I'm hoping to hit that number. If we don't get at least 18 people then the trip will be postponed or canceled. Pickup and drop-off will be at the Civic Center in San Francisco.*Please drink responsibly, make sure you have a hardy breakfast and are hydrated before this event!Sonoma County was recently effected by the fires and over 3000 homes burned to the ground within hours - including entire subdivisions. While we won't be passing by any scorched neighborhoods you'll feel the comradely and unity that has stemmed from the chaos.Hope to see you there,Arthur
