When Michi Shin opened Michi in the early 1990s, he began creating innovative Japanese cuisine, including sushi and other non-traditional items, for the greater Silicon Valley. Due to the relationships Chef Michi has fostered, the brand sources its products from all over the world: Japan, Australia, Fiji, Hawaii, Canada, Korea, and more. Michi has been nominated for several awards & accolades within the greater Northern California food scene and were ultimately featured in the Wall Street Journal. Through a cult-like following, Michi was able to develop as the Bay Area’s top Asian-American catering and event groups.
