Meet Pipeline Angels and watch the documentary She Started It, at Google Launchpad on Monday, June 25, 2018. 
Pipeline Angels Members and portfolio companies will have a chance to connect with guests, share more about angel investing and social entrepreneurship, and announce the launch of our angel investing bootcamp in San Juan, Puerto Rico to support the island's founders and economy.
She Started It follows five passionate, trailblazing young women who strive to compete and thrive in the ruthlessly competitive boys' club of high tech startups. Please find the the trailer here.

SPEAKER BIOS
Karla FraguadaMember, Pipeline Angels & Director of Business Performance, Bacardi 
Karla is the Director of Business Performance for Bacardi North America. In her capacity, she oversees strategy and special projects for the region and serves as Chief of Staff. In her previous life, she came up the corporate ladder in Research & Development at Kraft Foods, Pepperidge Farm, and Unilever where she held leadership positions in Packaging and Product Development. Karla holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez and holds a US patent. She has volunteered as a Global Village Builder for Habitat of Humanity in various countries. Karla is currently looking to join a board or contribute to incubators/accelerators as mentor. She lives in Miami with her husband.

Nora PoggiJournalist/Filmmaker & Director of She Started It Nora Poggi is a French journalist/filmmaker directing her debut film on women tech entrepreneurs, SHE STARTED IT, which premieres at the Mill Valley Film Festival in October 2016. She has interviewed key players in Silicon Valley for the past four years for publications including Examiner.com & Usine Nouvelle. She previously worked at French social network Viadeo.com and award-winning production company Lucky Dragon Productions. She is a TEDx speaker and has been featured in Inc, Forbes, Fast Company, Glamour, Huffington Post and many others.

Following five women over two years as they pitch VCs, build teams, bring products to market, fail and start again, SHE STARTED IT takes viewers on a global roller coaster ride from San Francisco to Mississippi, France and Vietnam. Along the way, it weaves in big-picture perspectives from women like investor Joanne Wilson; White House CTO Megan Smith; GoldieBlox CEO Debbie Sterling; and Ruchi Sanghvi, the first female engineer at Facebook.
Through intimate, action-driven storytelling, SHE STARTED IT explores the cultural roots of female underrepresentation in entrepreneurship—including pervasive self-doubt, fear of failure, and risk aversion among young women. It exposes, too, the structural realities women face as they become entrepreneurs, including lack of female role models and investors, and the persistent dearth of venture capital funding made available to women-led companies.

Launchpad Space is an event-based community space in San Francisco. Developers and startups can attend to receive free technical training, one-on-one mentoring and more education aimed at driving their success.
