We are proud and excited to announce this wonderful event we are hosting for a really great cause: Meet & Greet Elephant Experience, raising money to support the Elephant Preserve. This non-profit supports elephants all over the world and has been helping to aide in treatment research, orthopedics treatments, education, and overall awareness to stop elephant cruelty.
On October 1st two of the five majestic elephants that are owned by the Johnson family in Southern California will come to Trione to visit. Trione will hold two sessions granting visitors the opportunity to meet and touch the elephants, take pictures, learn about the non-profit and how they can help, participate in feeding the elephants and more.
This 100% a fundraiser and all of the proceeds will go directly towards benefiting the elephants.
Family-Friendly Session:
10am-12pm
Enjoy an educational/learning experience with the elephants, touch their feet and hair, watch them paint on a canvas, and take your pictures with them. Raffle tickets will be sold for $10 per ticket and $100 for 20 tickets. The raffle items for this session are: six winners will play soccer with the elephants, five winners will be able to be lifted by the elephants trunks, and one winner will take home the painting. Carrots will be passed out to each person to feed the elephants. At the close of the session the trainers will offer a “Thank you” watermelon to the elephants for all to see them eat leaving everyone in ahh before they both wave goodbye and go have their rest.
Cookies and drinks will be available for the children and wine for the adults. $50 per person. Children four years old and under are free.
Evening Session (Adults Only):
4-6pm
Learn about the non-profit and meet the elephants, purchases raffle tickets, enjoy wine and cheese, watch the elephants paint on canvas and two magnums, take your pictures with them and feed them carrots. In-kind donations are welcomed and appreciated. A booth will be on-site to showcase some of the fun elephants artwork (tee shirts and paintings). Raffle items will be five trunk lifts, two magnums, one canvas, and one very lucky person will win the very last, final ride in Sonoma County.
At the close of the session the trainers will offer a “Thank you” watermelon to the elephants for all to see them eat leaving everyone in ahh before they both wave goodbye and go have their rest.
