Meditations for World Peace (Feb)

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Creating Good Relationships by Using the Laws of Karma w/ Gen Kelsang Choma

Meditating on the law of karma is like looking into a mirror that shows us how to act and what to release. Using the teachings on karma will support us in creating good relationships with our partners, family, friends - and with everyone!

Feb 5 Mindful Speech Creates Harmony:
If we understand the laws of karma, we can understand how to initiate positive experiences by letting go of harmful actions that cause pain and practicing good actions. Our relationships can be smooth and harmonious through training in letting go of harmful speech, even in the heat of the moment.

Feb 12 Love, Desire and Attachment:
Why is it that so often our relationships and interactions with others result in painful emotions? Why does what appears to be a "perfect match" so often end in conflict? Why can't we live in harmony with our colleagues and friends? The answer to all these questions can be found within Buddha's teachings on love, desire, and attachment.

Feb 19 Meditating on Equanimity for World Peace:
Equanimity is a special inner realization, an inner knowledge or Dharma realization. To gain this beautiful mind, we learn to develop and maintain a happy feeling towards all living beings. Equanimity is a very relaxed and balanced mind that we can all learn to develop within our daily life.

Feb 26 No class due to empowerment with Gen Tenzin in Petaluma. Everyone welcome.
