Strategic media coverage can be a powerful, high-ROI tactic for companies at every stage.  With many differing approaches on the matter, public relations is often an opaque undertaking, polluted with contradictory theories that can derail founders from achieving the impact and engagement that comes from strategic, positive press coverage.  With a handful of simple tactics, Valerie will share her vetted approach to achieving coverage for founders, startups & companies at every stage. Entrepreneurs will learn how to:  1. Determine their goals for press coverage. 2. Craft several effective PR messages.  3. Target reporters strategically — without overthinking it. 4. Nail a simple, strong narrative for the interview. 5. Prepare press materials for publication. *But wait, there's more. Time permitting, we'll discuss what to look for in your PR hires for founders who don’t want to DIY. From your PR hire’s track record to a plan of attack for your company, look for these hints to avoid ineffective PR proposals from derailing your company and misusing your funds.
