Mastering Trauma Through Art: Lessons from Artists
Saturday 3/10 9:00AM - 4:00PM
While understanding and mastering traumatic experiences is a process that typically occurs in psychotherapy, there is much to be learned about this process from artist and writers. In this conference we explore how five notable artists (Hodler, Lautrec, Magritte, Munch and the poet Mark O’Brien) worked to master traumatic experiences through their art and what clinicians can learn from these artists.
6 CE credits available
NOTE: Continuing education credit for all mental health professionals (MD, PhD, LCSW, MFT, etc) is provided by the SF Center for Psychoanalysis, our co-sponsor. A total of 24 CE credits are provided for the entire workshop (Tuesday through Saturday) for a fee of $200. If you would like to sign up for CE credits please check the box below. SFCP will bill you directly after the conference and then send the CE certificate.
