Kelly Landmine was once a burlesque performer and producer of Macabaret: Grotesque Burlesque for the Sick and Twisted. She had dreams of running away with the circus and becoming a sword swallower but her gag reflex got in the way. She settled in Oakland, Ca and became a hairdresser instead. Weak Hearts and Big Egos is her first book.

Kyle Thomas Smith is the author of the multi-award-winning novel 85A (Bascom Hill, 2010). He recently relocated from Brooklyn to San Francisco, where he lives with his husband Julius and his cats, Giuseppe and Giacomo. His cross-genre memoir, Cockloft: Scenes from a Gay Marriage, was released on September 17, 2018. The Kirkus Review recently said of Cockloft that: “The storytelling is lighter on its feet than that of David Sedaris but just as funny...A playful and often hilarious book full of New York stories, domestic hijinks, and madcap journeys.” Visit him at https://www.cockloftmemoir.com.

D'mani Thomas is a Black, queer, defender of Oakland. He is a recent graduate of UC - Berkeley, where he was a member of the 2017 and 2018 CAL Slam national poetry team. Their work often meditates on death, sexuality and wanting ( in the intimate sense). Find them on twitter/ or ask them about their chapbook, "Talk About Me and Other Ways I stay Alive".

Jenny Xie is a writer and editor based in Oakland, California. Her work has appeared in Necessary Fiction, Adroit Journal, Gulf Coast Online, and The Offing, among others. She was awarded the 2014 Driftless Prize in Fiction from Devil's Lake, the 2015 Narrative 30 Below Story Contest, the 2017 Joyland Open Border Fiction Prize, and was included in the 2016 Best of the Net Anthology. The recipient of a Bread Loaf scholarship and fellowships from MacDowell, Yaddo, and Aspen Words, she holds degrees from UC Berkeley and Johns Hopkins University. She is the Executive Editor of Dwell.com.

James J. Siegel is the author of the poetry collection "How Ghosts Travel" from Spuyten Duyvil Press, which was a finalist for the Ohioana Library Book Award. He lives in San Francisco where he hosts and curates the monthly Literary Speakeasy at Martuni’s, which showcases Bay Area authors, poets, and songwriters. His work has appeared in several journals including The Cortland Review, Assaracus, Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review, The Good Men Project, and more.
