Celebrating Black History Month, Making Connections "Connecting Us Forward" on February 8th, is a follow-up and community conversation from the 2017 African American Organization Making Connections "The State Of Black America".
The "Connecting Us Forward" dialogue moderated by Carol Burton, CEO of Jeweld Legacy Group, with share the reflections and futurist thinking from local activists in the areas of social justice, youth & culture, community involvement and faith.
Speakers will include:
- John Jones III, community activist will speak on social justice issues
- Ryan Nicole, artist, athlete, activist will speak on youth & culture
- Armand Carr, Founder of All Tied Up will speak on community engagement
- Pastor Maria Reems, Center of Hope Church will speak on the faith community
The event is open and free to the community. Refreshments will be served.
