Please join us for this intimate event to hear Bay Area designers Lindsay Meyer of Batch, Stephanie Fillbrandt and Chiya Ewald of Marsh & Clark Design, Katie Storey of Storey Design, and Quinn Morgan of Quinn Morgan Design share their distinctive styles, the creative processes that fuel them, and the value of incorporating handmade objects into contemporary design. The event will be moderated by Erin Feher, style and design editor of San Francisco Magazine. This year’s theme, “Color Story,” asks designers to create room vignettes inspired not only by select objects of fine craft, but also by a favorite color or group of colors that make a cohesive design statement. Each designer had the opportunity to express their design aesthetic through effective color use, while exploring how humans perceive color and the subliminal cultural messages different colors communicate. Their dynamic room vignettes will be on display at this year’s American Craft Show in San Francisco. Each attendee will receive the latest issue of American Craft magazine and a pair of complimentary tickets to ACC's San Francisco craft show, where you can explore the handmade work of more than 250 top contemporary jewelry, clothing, furniture, and home décor artists from across the country. The show runs Friday, August 3, through Sunday, August 5, at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture.Featuring: Complimentary tastings of Pomp & Wimsy – bringing modern sensibilities to the tradition of gin making by infusing classically distilled gin with a natural, delightfully flavorful botanical liqueur. This event is presented by the American Craft Council, who would like to thank its generous sponsors:AIASFAmerican Society of Interior DesignersBatchPomp & WimsySan Francisco Design CenterSan Francisco Magazine
