Palanza Dance-Theater Company will present Aristophanes’ sexy comedy Lysistrata directed by Pascale Couderc and Hilary Palanza in the fall of 2015 (November 7th-15th) at ODC Theater in San Francisco.
Our presentation of Lysistrata will bring 12 dancers and 8 actors to the stage and fuse dance, theater and music for the modern audience to delight in this revisited classic tale.
Lysistrata is a classic comedy written in 400BC by famous Greek playwright Aristophanes. It is the story of an extraordinary woman who finds a way to put an end to the Peloponnesian wars by rallying all the women of Greece and convincing them to stop sleeping with their husbands until they agree to sign a peace treaty.
