Come on down to the San Jose Museum of Art as they present another installment in their Lunchtime Lecture Series. Entitled "Ekphrasis: Making Connections with Poetry," this lecture features Sally Ashton, a professor at San Jose State University, as well as the editor-in-chief of the DMQ Review, an online journal of poetry and art. She will discuss the connections between image and text using her own poetry and other poets' work. For those not familiar with ekphrasis it is a response to one work of art through another medium, in which the response is also a unique work of art.
This lecture will be held in the Charlotte Wendel Education Center. Guests are welcome to bring food and beverages. Free with museum admission.
