Whether you are saving every penny until your game’s release, or you travel a lot and you can’t spend a fortune every time, or you come from a country far far away with a really devalued currency (happens a lot, we know), you might want to keep your budget as low as possible. Low Budget Pre-GDC is the meet up for you.
We will gather to spend a nice evening getting to know each other under the excuse of sharing tips & tricks we’ve learnt over years of attending this splendid (but sometimes expensive) Game Developers Conference.
See it as a good plan after getting your pass, and before going somewhere else.
Some of the initial ideas include:
How to eat cheap but healthy
Best ways of buying things you don’t get at your city
Transport: how to move around without having to sell your kidneys
Tourism and public places you can visit in SFO
Little mistakes you can prevent in GDC
Things you might do better for your next GDC
This will happen on Sunday 17th at 4pm at the Yerba Buena Gardens. More specifically at this spot:
Bring anything you want to eat and drink, music instruments if you have, or whatever that can make our evening better! (maybe some videos or prototypes of your games?)
Other notes:
No need of a GDC pass to come and feel welcomed!
Obviously no charge, we’ll be just a bunch of devs talking and having a coffee at the park
You can contact us for any suggestion or questions at our twitter accounts @BruReale or @AdrianNovell
