Love U, a first-look staged reading of the new musical

LOVE U is a queer musical rom-com about lies, love, and college. At a school everyone calls "Love U," college freshmen discover themselves and each other. Mia is a small town bookworm far from home for the first time. Jae is a big city track star still finding her way when it comes to academics. Sparks fly when Mia and Jae meet at the Love U library, and Jae tells a little white lie: that she's just as much of a reader as Mia is. The more they fall for each other, the more Jae struggles to maintain her fiction. Can she prove to Mia (and herself) that she's more than just a "dumb jock"? With emotionally honest songwriting and an all-queer cast of characters, LOVE U is a life-affirming coming of age tale for students of the human heart.
