The HOT STONE STARS is a Santa Cruz, California based rock band. Hard rockin' music with a special spin: the soulful vocals of Star Stern. Heating up the galaxy with her are Stony Stern (comet guitar), Mike Lazarus (blazar bass) and Holland Barry (pulsar drums). We provide the perfect epic surf movie soundtrack. In 2014 we will be tearing up the Santa Cruz music scene with a new album in our back pockets.
Amber Lynn Nicol
Singer-songwriter Amber Lynn Nicol, with her irresistible brand of country-rock, has built a strong fan base in Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg. Following up an EP, "Beach Day," with her first full album, "Broader Horizons," she's ready to widen expand her audience. Nicol, who wrote nine of the 10 songs on the album, tells The Daily News, "I wanted it to be a little more of a singer-songwriter album, a little more country, and a little bit deeper, too. The reason I chose 'Broader Horizons' as the title is because I wanted to branch out and make stuff happen. It's been doing really well, I'm really happy with it. I'm looking forward to coming out to California to play these songs for you guys. Beach-oriented, fun music is popular in Tampa Bay. "There's a lot of jam music here, but there's also a lot of singer-songwriters, and it's a pretty cool little scene. A lot of people go out to the local shows.
