The Mission Position recently celebrated its 4 year anniversary and 1 year at our new home in the Mission at Alamo Drafthouse San Francisco! We're excited to keep bringing you the best comedians from across the country.
This month with co-headliners Janine Brito & Johan Miranda!
Featuring: Adam Pearlstein, Adrian McNair, Irene Tu
Every month The Mission Position brings the best comedians to the Alamo Drafthouse theater for a live comedy show that provides club-level talent without a drink minimum. Hosted by two of San Francisco's best comedians, Adrian McNair and Irene Tu (featured on Viceland, KQED, Seeso, SF Sketchfest and Bridgetown Comedy Festival).
Doors at 8:30pm, show starts at 9pm!
JANINE BRITO is a stand up comic, and was a writer and on-air correspondent on the FX series, Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, produced by Chris Rock. She's also half Cuban, half Icelandic, and aaaall lesbian.
Janine started doing standup comedy in St. Louis and has performed at clubs and theaters throughout the US and Hong Kong. She is the winner of the 2009 SF Women's Comedy Competition, and recipient of Rooftop Comedy's 2010 Silver Nail Award. Praised by 7x7 Magazine as "one of SF's more daring voices" and one of "the 7 funniest people in town," she was named the 2011 "Best Comedian with a Message" by the East Bay Express.
Her recent festival appearances include SF Sketchfest, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, SXSW, Hell Yes Fest, and the Moontower Comedy Festival.
The SF Weekly says she's "a mean lesbian," but she's pretty sure that they mean it in a good way.
JOHAN MIRANDA:
Named by San Francisco Magazine as a comedian you should know you about, Johan Miranda has been featured on Riot L.A, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and SF Sketchfest. He's also appeared on the Cracked Podcast and has been profiled by the L.A. Weekly.
