Literacyworks & Copperfield's Books Presents Isabel Allende in Conversation with Michael Krasny

Chilean author Isabel Allende won worldwide acclaim when her bestselling first novel, "The House of the Spirits", was published in 1982. She has since written 22 more works. Allende’s books, all written in her native Spanish, have been translated into 35 languages and have sold nearly 70 million copies. Michael Krasny is the host of KQED’s “Forum” program as well as a renowned author and educator. Dr. Michael Krasny, PhD is host of the award-winning KQED FORUM, a program discussing news and public affairs, current events culture, health, business and technology.

This series is a fundraiser for Literacyworks Center, a project that assists underserved, low-income, low-literacy adult students and their families with maneuvering and solving the educational, logistical and personal challenges they face to stay in school or succeed at work. Free Admission (Must RSVP via Eventbrite) For tickets and more information, visit literacyworks.org/events.

Although this event is free, there is limited space available. Attendees must RSVP prior to the event and bring a printed copy of their ticket to attend. Seating is general admission, and will be available on a first come, first served basis for all ticket holders
