Listening Place, Readers' Theatre

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Monterey Museum of Art (see times)
The Listening Place, Readers' Theatre presents "Foxfire" at the Monterey Museum of Art at La Mirada. This performance features songs by Hume Cronyn and Susan Cooper in telling the story of Annie Nations, an indomitable Appalachian woman who has spent her entire life in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Now that her husband is dead, he still dominates her life and thinks that he knows best while their concerned son pressures his mother to sell the farm. Annie must now decide for herself whether to hold on to what she's always known or follow her heart to the other side of the mountain. Featured Listening Place actors are Philip Pearce, Susan Keenan, Richard Boynton, Mary Lee Sunseri, and Robert Colter.
