It's no secret the wines of Italy are adored by all near and far. Some of the best known wines of Italy are from the region of Piedmont, or Piemonte as they say in Italiano. While most people think of the famous wines of Barolo, Piemonte has much more to offer in terms of variety and style of wine. We will be exploring some classics such as Barolo/Barbaresco, but also trying to cover many other appellations that don't get enough attention such as Gattinara, Bramaterra, Dogliani, and Gavi. This will be a sit-down, seminar-style tasting guided by our own Italian wine expert Floribeth Kennedy, who has been traveling to Piemonte for the past 22 years. The seminar will be held in our SF downstairs tasting room next Wednesday October 31st from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Here is the lineup for what we are tasting:Bruno Giacosa, Arneis DOCG, 2016Broglia, Gavi di Gavi Bruno Broglia, 2015Cascina Massara (Giancarlo Burlotto), Verduno Pelaverga, 2017Giuseppe Mascarello, Langhe Freisa, 2016San Fereolo, Dolcetto di Dogliani Valdiva, 2015Antoniolo, Gattinara, 2013Tenute Sella, Bramaterra DOC, 2011Castello Conti, Boca, 2009
