Davia Nelson, public radio superstar of the Kitchen Sisters and Peabody Award-winning journalist, is coming to LightHouse to live interview Erik Weihenmayer, the only blind person to summit Mount Everest. They are doing away with the usual ‘inspiration talk’ in favor of a candid conversation about imagination, non-visual exploration, and what drives Erik to take these journeys.
A “listening party for ears only,” the LightHouse Listenings series is a celebration of the aural medium designed to create a space for conversation, creativity, and sound that connects blind and sighted audiences over a shared experience.
