90-second verbal elevator pitch (no deck) followed by non-rebuttal feedback from the investor panel.

Heather has over 20 years of experience leading Business Development, Finance and Technology teams in Consumer Products, High Tech and Health Insurance companies. 
 
 
She serves as advisor to many startups and is an Angel Investor with a personal portfolio of Food, software, hardware and medical device companies. 
 
 
She is also the Angel Liaison at the NASDAQ Entrepreneurial Center. 
 
 
Heather earned her Masters degree in Economics and Political Science at the California Institute of Technology and has a BA in Economics and Political Science from University of Arizona. 

 

 
 
ERIC VER PLOEG
 
Eric Ver Ploeg is a investor at Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners, a $278M fund, focused on enterprise facing companies. DTCP has invested approximately $2B in over 200 companies.
 
Some of Deutsche Telekom's investments includes Fornova, Aryaka, AppsFlyer, Paxata, NS1, SafeBreach, Pinger, DocuSign, and ZenMate.
 
Eric has a long venture career in several venture funds, leading more than $169M in investments.
 
He was a General Partner at DeepBlue Ventures, cofounder of Metric Ventures, Managing Member at Recursive Capital, Managing Director of VantagePoint Capital Partners. As General Partner at VantagePoint Ventures he led 11 venture capital investments in the mobile sector.

Li Jiang is an active angel investor, venture capital specialist and Vice President at GSV Asset Management  ($567M under management), and the Chief Evangelist at GSVLabs.
 
 
Some of GSV's investments include: Aspiration, Clever, Course Hero, Coursera, Dataminr, Dropbox, Enjoy, GSVlabs, Lyft, Lytro, Ozy Media, Palantir, Snapchat, Spotify.
 
 
Prior to GSV, Li was an analyst at William Blair, a growth-focused investment banking firm where he completed both mergers and acquisitions and equity and debt financing for clients in the healthcare, consumer goods and business services sectors.
 
 
Li previously held roles at Morgan Stanley in global capital markets and Goldman Sachs in investment management.
 
 
He was a student entrepreneur and graduate from Northwestern University, where he and others founded a student startup in storage and logistics, growing it to the largest student-run company on campus.
