LGBTQ+ Youth: A Year of Trauma and Resilience

SEE EVENT DETAILS
This live webinar will examine the unique mental health challenges queer and trans youth have experienced over the past year due to the pandemic, racial and equity issues, and current political legislation. Join a distinguished team of psychologists and counselors who discuss what this environment looks like for LGBTGEQIAP+ youth - and what can be done moving forward to ensure this population has the support and resilience tools they need from their families, schools, and communities. This webinar is part of Palo Alto University's "At the Forefront of Mental Health" series.

Panelists:

Clark Ausloos PhD, LPC, LPSC is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Palo Alto University and recently received the Counselor of the Year Award from the Ohio Counseling Association. Dr. Ausloos works with youth, adolescents, and young adults who identify as LGBTQGEQIAP+.

Their recent article on "How Parents Can Support Their Trans Kids" appeared in Yes Magazine.

Christine Jenkins, PhD, LPCC-S is President-Elect of the Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender-Expansive Identities (SAIGE), a division of the American Counseling Association.
