Left Bank Brasserie on Santana Row in San Jose to Celebrate "Vin Rosé et Cuisine Provençale"
Left Bank Brasserie on Santana Row in San Jose will be celebrating "Vin Rosé et Cuisine Provençale", the rosé wine and food of Provence, France, beginning on Wednesday, August 13 and continuing through Saturday, August 16. They will feature a choice of three Provence appellation rosé wines offered in a flight of two ounce pours for $15.00 (also served by the glass, carafe or bottle) ideal for enjoying along with special a la carte Provençale-inspired items served for lunch and dinner. The regular a la carte lunch and dinner menus will also be available.
This celebration affords Left Bank Brasserie guests the opportunity to partake of a taste of Provence in dining rooms awash in lavender and sunflowers.
Menu specials will be Potato And Salt Cod Purée on croutons, drizzled with olive oil and truffle ($9.50); Chickpea Salad with fresh garlic, first press extra virgin olive oil, parsley ($7.50); Olive Oil Poached True Cod with clams, pistou potatoes, Toybox tomatoes, sun dried tomato olive tapenade ($25.00); Pan Roasted Duck Breast with caramelized lavender honey and balsamic sauce, fingerling potatoes roasted in duck fat, sautéed summer squash with herbes de Provence ($26.50); a large Macaroon Cookie with vanilla cream, fresh raspberries, raspberry sauce ($8.00); and Fennel Tarte Tatin with star anise syrup, carrot caramel ($8.00).
The restaurant will be pouring Château Riotor, Côtes de Provence (a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Rolle; $13.00 a glass, $39.00 a carafe, $52.00 a bottle), Commanderie de la Bargemone, Coteaux d’ Aix en Provence (a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and white varietals; $14.00 a glass, $42.00 a carafe, $56.00 a bottle), and Miraval, Cotes de Provence Rose (a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and Syrah; $17.00 a glass, $51.00 a carafe, $68.00 a bottle).
