Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur Hosts Brewer-Clifton “Field to Glass” Wine Dinner

Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur will host a Brewer-Clifton “Field to Glass” Wine Dinner on Thursday, April 4, the fourth in a yearlong series showcasing winemakers and other wine professionals who share philosophies that are important to the restaurant such as being good stewards of the land, engaging in sustainable business practices and maintaining the highest standards of quality.

The Brewer-Clifton dinner will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a sparkling wine and appetizers reception followed by a five-course meal, priced at $175.00, that will include a Little Gem Salad with heirloom apple, sliced fennel, pumpkin seeds and white balsamic vinaigrette paired with 2016 Chardonnay, Sta. Rita Hills; Grilled Ribeye Skewer with horseradish gremolata paired with 2015 Pinot Noir, Sta. Rita Hills; Beef Short Rib with red wine sauce and roasted vegetables paired with 2016 Ex Post Facto Syrah, Santa Barbara; a cheese course with Pave Cheese, apple compote and toasted walnuts paired with 2012 Chardonnay, 3-D, Sta. Subsequent “Field to Glass” dinners are scheduled for the first Thursday of each month (except July which will be the second Thursday) and will be priced at between $125.00 and $250.00, excluding tax and gratuity. A Season Pass is available and each month’s event is also sold individually. Tickets are available via Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/field-to-glass-wine-dinner-series-2019-tickets-53261247826. Dates, wineries and menus are subject to change.

Unchanged is the restaurant’s acclaimed French cuisine prepared with seasonal, often locally sourced and organic ingredients, plus first-rate service and engaging décor. Extraordinary libations are always a Left Bank hallmark with a full bar that offers classic and contemporary cocktails, the largest pastis selection in California, after dinner drinks and an award-winning list of premium and affordable French and California wines that has repeatedly received an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator Magazine.

The restaurant is located in the 114-year old historical Blue Rock Inn building and the dining room is notable for its natural materials and light colors, hardwood floors, stone fireplace, a beautifully refinished turn of the century 25-foot mahogany bar, the sun-lit terrace, comfortable bentwood chairs, colorful French advertising posters, high tin ceilings, large walls of windows and evocative brasserie lighting.

Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur is located at 507 Magnolia Avenue at Ward Street. Free parking is readily available on the street and in a municipal lot across from the restaurant.
