Left Bank Brasserie Hosts Cooks with Books Event with Jacques Pépin

Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur, in association with Book Passage bookstore and the Cooks with Books program, will host a Thursday, April 19, 2018 dinner with Jacques Pépin, the author of A Grandfather's Lessons: In the Kitchen with Shorey. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be priced at $145.00 per person which includes the meal, wine, tax, gratuity and a signed copy of the book. The event kicks off with a book signing followed by a sit-down meal inspired by the author's recipes and overseen by the restaurant's Chief Culinary Officer Roland Passot who is also a friend of Pepin's. The 208-page hardcover publication recounts time in the kitchen and recipes that Pépin has shared with his granddaughter, Shorey Pépin. It also includes tips on the proper setting of a table, table manners and table decor. Pépin will be available throughout the meal to answer questions.

Pépin is one of the world's premier French chefs and is the author of 29 cookbooks, the host of numerous award-winning PBS television shows and a recipient of France's highest distinction, the Legion of Honor.
