Why do we so often fail to say what we mean? Why do we sometimes say what is hurtful, when we want to speak with kindness and care?
Learn to communicate with kindness and clarity! In this workshop, we will focus on communication challenges from the perspective of the heart. Through discussion, lecture, and experiential practices we will explore the relationship between mind, self and language, and learn to awaken the language of the heart.
Facilitator: Pema Gellek is the Co-Director of the Guna Foundation, a faculty member at Dharma College, and Director of the Prajna Light Foundation. She holds a M.A. in International Politics from American University and a B.A. in Asian Studies from Mary Baldwin College, and studied with Buddhist masters in Nepal for three years. Pema is also the writer and co-director of films including Prayers of the Ancient Ones, and The Great Transmission, transformative documentaries presenting a glimpse of the tremendous depth and history of the transmission of Buddhism.
