Le Colonial to Host Champagne, Caviar & Truffles Brunch on The Patio

Le Colonial will host a monthly, sunshine permitting Champagne, Caviar & Truffles Brunch on The Patio debuting on Sunday, August 19 from noon to 3:00 p.m. priced at $250.00 per person, all-inclusive including transportation to and from the restaurant (within San Francisco city limits). Space is limited to 40 guests and in honor of the series kickoff, the first 20 to make reservations (which are required) prior to August 1 will pay an early bird rate of just $200.00, all-inclusive. Tickets can be obtained via http://www.lecolonialsf.com/brunch6.

Upon arrival, guests will receive a welcome glass of Moet & Chandon Imperial Brut and once seated on an engaging patio unequaled in the Bay Area, will be offered unprecedented unlimited pours of Veuve Clicquot Rich and/or Belvedere Bloody Marys. The uniquely Vietnamese-focused eight-course menu will include an amuse bouche, soup, salad, eggs (Eggs Benedict/Bahn Mi, Vietnamese Chilaquiles or a Dungeness Crab and Onion Confit Tart), bread, a palate cleanser, an entrée (Crispy Tofu with King Oyster Mushrooms, Duck Breast and Duck Leg Rilettes or Beef Short Ribs), and dessert and coffee (four sweet treats to choose from). There will be live musical entertainment.

Also offered will be an optional Champagne upgrade with prices ranging from an additional $45.00 to $200.00 for Veuve Clicquot, Rose, NV; Moet & Chandon, Grand Vintage 2009; Dom Perignon, Brut 2009; Veuve Clicquot, La Grande Dame 2009; or Krug, Brut, Grande Cuvee, NV 200.

Always available for dinner are Le Colonial’s acclaimed Vietnamese dishes with French colonial flair. Complementing this menu is the restaurant’s international wine list comprised of French and domestic vintages, plus wines from Chile, Argentina, New Zealand and elsewhere.

The atmosphere at Le Colonial evokes the elegance of Vietnam in the 1920s. Highlights include mosaic-like tile flooring, a vaulted pressed-tin ceiling, shuttered windows, ceiling fans, plush rattan furniture and tropical plants, all accented by the glow of candlelight. Vintage black and white photographs of life at the turn of the century adorn the walls.

Le Colonial is located at 20 Cosmo Place between Sutter and Post and Jones and Taylor. The restaurant is open nightly for dinner, Sunday through Wednesday from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. and Thursday to Saturday, 5:30 to 11:00 p.m. Valet parking is available. Visit Le Colonial on the web at https://www.lecolonialsf.com. For more information or reservations, which can also be made via OpenTable.com, call (415) 931-3600.
