LB Steak in Menlo Park will be celebrating the Preakness Stakes on Saturday, May 18, by opening early at 2:30 p.m. and serving a la carte specials highlighting the cuisine of the Baltimore, Maryland area. The Happy Hour menu will also be available until 6:30 p.m. and at dinner time, the regular a la carte menu will also be offered until 11:00 p.m.
The Preakness Stakes specials will be Eastern Seaboard Blue Crab Dip for $9.50 with warm focaccia, celery sticks, carrots and bell pepper; a 12 oz. Certified Angus Rib Eye for $34.00 with a bourbon peppercorn sauce, savory herbs and Old Bay seasoned sweet potato fries; Maryland Crispy Soft Shell Crab for $22.00 with avocado, corn and black eyed pea succotash, citrus crème fraîche and chili oil; and Strawberry Shortcake for $8.00 with a rose biscuit, vanilla bean whipped cream and berry coulis.
Ordering from the Preakness Stakes menu will afford guests the opportunity to place a “bet†(prior to the race time) in the LB Stakes, a playful spin on horse race gambling, and then possibly win a range of prizes including complimentary meals and other food-related goodies. The restaurant will be decorated in the spirit of the occasion and the staff will be festively attired.
This will be the second of three LB Steak hosted events celebrating the major races in the U.S. thoroughbred racing Triple Crown (the Kentucky Derby on May 4, the Preakness Stakes on May 18, and the Belmont Stakes on June 8).
