Laver Cup 2025

A tennis tournament unlike any other, the Laver Cup pits six of the best men's tennis players from Europe against six of their counterparts from the rest of the world over three days of intense team competition. Don't miss Team World's Tommy Paul, Taylor Fritz & Ben Shelton under Captain Andre Agassi as the Laver Cup takes over Chase Center.

"We are thrilled to be bringing the Laver Cup to sports fans in San Francisco and the entire Bay Area community," said Laver Cup Chairman and TEAM8 CEO Tony Godsick.

"Chase Center will be the perfect setting to stage the eighth edition of the event, in a cosmopolitan city that loves its sport but has been without a top-level men's pro tennis event for over 10 years."

"Our vision for Laver Cup was to bring together the world's top players - rivals year-round - as teammates, to honor the great legends of the past, deliver thrilling, competitive tennis and help grow the game. This announcement marks another exciting step in the Laver Cup journey."

The Laver Cup pits six of the best men's tennis players from Europe against six of their counterparts from the rest of the World in a three-day contest that honors tennis legend Rod Laver, the only man to win two calendar-year Grand Slams. Laver himself lives in San Diego, California.

Played on a dramatic black indoor court, the Laver Cup rotates between Europe and rest of the world cities each year. The first four editions of the Laver Cup were won by Team Europe in Prague (2017), Chicago (2018), Geneva (2019), and Boston (2021). Team World has won the last two titles in London (2022) and Vancouver (2023). The Laver Cup will be staged this year at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin from September 20-22.

Twenty-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer, co-creator of the Laver Cup, agrees San Francisco will be a great destination for the competition.

"Bay Area fans will love the way the Laver Cup brings together the world's top players as teammates. They will get to see them putting aside their rivalries and sitting courtside together cheering each other on. This doesn't exist anywhere else," said Federer, winner of three Laver Cup titles with Team Europe.
