Latinas Learn to Code + Margaritas

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Amigas, have you been curious about learning to code or just want to learn so you could make a change in your career? There have been more than 100,000 job openings in web and mobile development reported in the last 12 months and we want to introduce a resource to you that could possibly change your life and future.
#LatinaGeeks is proud to partner with Microsoft, together we present an awesome opportunity for Latinas who want to learn to code.
During this workshop you will be exposed to the foundations of HTML, CSS and JavaScript — the three building blocks for the entire web. If you don't know what any of that means, it's even more reason for you to come and learn. This workshop is for beginners and anyone who is curious to learn more.
Not required, but we'd love to see more college students majoring in engineering to sign up. We may have special opportunities with Microsoft. If qualified, she will be contacted after workshop.
If you know of a Latina who is majoring in engineering, share this with her.

Quotes from previous class:

I? loved it! As someone who didn’t even know what HTML, CSS, or JavaScript really even meant to begin with, this was an awesome intro to the subjects and got me more interested in coding!
I learned a lot. I would not have been able to tell you 2 days ago what the aforementioned terms were. Thank you for making me more knowledgeable!
I thought the event ran smoothly and was a big success. I told all my friends about it and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to learn another skill and open the door to possibly new career paths. Thank you!!
