New Conservatory Theatre Center presents
Late Company
By Jordan Tannahill, directed by Evren Odcikin.
“A tightly wound, incrementally gripping study about grief, guilt and the impossibility of parenthood.” declares The Stage.
“Utterly transfixing” proclaims The Telegraph.
“ A touching, poignant production about some contemporary hot topics” says LA Splash.
In an attempt to find closure after a family tragedy, Debora and Michael invite their son’s bully and his family over for a dinner party. As the night progresses, pain, loss and rage all come to a head, and there’s enough blame for everybody to have a share. At turns both beautiful and brutal, Late Company is a hotbed of visceral tension as questions are raised that no one is prepared to answer.
Furthering NCTC’s foundation of spreading bullying awareness and prevention, Late Company centers around the aftershocks of a family tragedy, examining the effects of cyberbullying and mental health awareness on LGBT youth.
