Modernist (mid-20th century) apartment buildings near the lake-Points of discussion will be examining modernist architecture as applied to apartment buildings, features of the buildings which are shaped to relate (or not) to the view of the water, contrasting these buildings with single family residences, urban development patterns, and finally, discussion of the 'meaning' of these buildings.Tour will walk up the hill above the lake, also viewing similar buildings beyond the lake, then drop back down to Lake Merritt at its completion Lead by Bill Coburn
