La Mar Cebichería Peruana San Francisco Hosts Seghesio Family Vineyards Winemaker Dinner

La Mar Cebichería Peruana in San Francisco will host a Seghesio Family Vineyards wine paired dinner on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a Pisco Sour and passed appetizers followed by dinner, all in the Cebiche Lounge. Seghesio Family Vineyards is one of Sonoma County's premier wineries.

The four-course menu, with libations, is priced at $125.00 per guest and tax and gratuity are included. The courses to be served will be Cebiche Pulpo Olivo, with Botija Olive Aioli, Avocado, Red Onions, Habanero, Tomato and Olive Leche de Tigre paired with 2013 Seghesio Costiera White Wine, Sonoma County; Camarones Anticuchera, with Grilled Prawns, Herbed Mashed Potatoes, Warm Cherry Tomato Chalaca, Choclo and Anticuchera Sauce paired with Seghesio 2012 Barbera, Estate Vineyard - Home Ranch, Alexander Valley; Braised Beef Cheeks with Choclo Pepian Puree, Baby Carrots, Peas, Frisee and Watermelon Radish Salad paired with Seghesio 2011 Old Vine Zinfandel, Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys; and, for dessert, Dulce de Leche Alfajor with Lucuma Ice Cream and Chocolate Ganache paired with Susana Balbo 2009 Late Harvest Torrontes, Mendoza, Argentina.

Seghesio Family Vineyards was established by Edoardo Seghesio in 1895 in Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley and produces award-winning wines, most notably Zinfandel and Italian varietals. Now with 300 acres in preeminent growing regions - the Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys - Seghesio has some of wine country's oldest vineyards and proprietary clones.

La Mar Cebichería Peruana is located on Pier 1½, on the Embarcadero across from Washington Street, in San Francisco, California. The restaurant is open daily for lunch/brunch and dinner. Parking is available at nearby garages, plus neighborhood meters are an option. There is also a private boat dock at which vessels up to 40 feet in length can tie up for three hours at no charge.
