Join us for the launch of La Casa de las Madres’ Community Meet Up!
19,000 women will experience intimate partner violence this year, and 16,000 children will be exposed to this type of violence as well. La Casa is beginning a monthly meet-up series to build and strengthen our community, dedicated to ending domestic violence in San Francisco. Providing information, action items and and opportunity to meet other members of the La Casa community, we are bringing the issue of domestic violence out of the shadows and into the spotlight.
Our first meet-up will be held on March 6th. The night will feature a discussion on how to be an ally to someone that may be in an unsafe or unhealthy relationship. The event will be hosted at Standard Deviant Brewing (280 14th Street), close the 16th Street BART station!
We will begin the evening with a brief overview of La Casa’s most recent work in the community (7PM). We invite you to join us for an evening of education, activism and engagement! Please consider bringing friends who are interested in learning more about La Casa!
