KNBR and City National Bank are proud to announce NBA Hall of Famer Rick Barry will be the guest of honor at our next “Dinner with a Legend”.
Rick Barry played in both the American Basketball Association (ABA) and National Basketball Association (NBA). Named one of the 50 Greatest Players in history by the NBA in 1996, Barry is the only player to lead the NCAA, ABA and NBA in scoring for an individual season.
Rick is famous for his unorthodox but effective underhand free throw shooting technique which his youngest son Canyon has now adopted. At the time of his retirement in 1980, his .900 free throw percentage ranked first in NBA history.
In 1987, Barry was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Here’s your chance to hear from Rick Barry at our Dinner with a Legend on Tuesday, March 13th at the City Club in San Francisco and meet one of the 50 greatest players in the history of the NBA.
