Do you love to compete? Are you a fan of Iron Chef or Chopped? Well bring your culinary fierceness to the Parties That Cook Kitchen for a Friday night of hands-on cooking and friendly competition.
This Kitchen Challenge will be led by our very own Lead Chef David Avila, who was a sous chef to Stephanie Izard, the first female chef to win Bravo's Top Chef. David worked at Stephanie's award-winning Chicago restaurant, Girl and the Goat and for her restaurant group for many years, all while leading Parties That Cook events too!
In 2017, David was on the team when Izard competed in the Food Network series Iron Chef Showdown, where she defeated chefs Michael Symon, and Masaharu Morimoto to obtain the title of Iron Chef.
Armed with three basic ingredients and a pantry, the group will be divided into teams to face off in a timed competition to create the winning dish! Creativity, division of tasks and effective communication within each team are critical for the win. Members of the team that dishes up the best meal wins prizes based on presentation, teamwork, and taste. The result? A full sit-down meal garnished with camaraderie and served with a side of competitive edge.
We welcome your arrival at the Parties That Cook Kitchen with soft beverages and our signature antipasto platter.
Please bring a bottle (or two) of wine or beer to enjoy and share with the group. No hard alcohol please. This is a BYOB event.
