Best Local Radio Jock
Kihn’s rock & roll days with the Greg Kihn Band are long over, but it’s gotten to the point that Greg Kihn is to the South Bay what apple pie is to the rest of the country. The smooth, sweet talker can make a mattress sale sound like a slumber party—which he does regularly on KFOX.

2007 BEST OF SILICON VALLEY Staff Pick and Reader Survey Winner - First Place
Best Happy Hour
What can you say about a man whose dedication to rock is so great that he gets up at 3am for it? And for 10 years, yet. Telegraph Street busker, novelist and big-name rocker (next time, the Stones open for him!) Kihn has recently spread his talent to the ether via Internet Radio's Big Rock Beat. There, I heard him interview Jimmy Page, who says he got his arrangement of Babe I'm Going to Leave You from Palo Alto's Joan Baez--one small example of how Kihn combines local tidbits with international star power.
